A 1L flask is filled with 1mol H2 and 2mol I2 at 448C. The value of the Kc is 50.5. H2(g) + I2(g) -><- 2HI(g) So it is asking for the Equilibrium concentrations of H2 I2 and HI. I put the moles to M and set up an ICE Table H2 + I2 -><- 2HI I 1M 2M 0 C -x -x +2x E 1-x 2-x 2x Then i plugged the equilibrium numbers into the Kc expression Kc= [HI]^2/ [H2][I2] which was 50.1= 2x^2/(1-x)(2-x) and the two x's equal .96, and 2.16. However when i plug the x values back in H2=.04, I2= 1.04, and HI=1.92. When those values are plugged into the Kc expression

it does not equal 50.5
