is it possible to have parent who is blood type A to have an offspring who is blood type B? a) no because A is dominant over O b) yes, but only if the kid's mom has blood type O c) yes, but only if the parent is a heterozygote d) no, because A and B are codominant, so his kids could only be A or AB

OpenStudy (aaronq):

c) yes, but only if the parent is a heterozygote

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B. Blood types are codominant and refer to proteins on the surface of a red blood cell. O is the absence of these proteins. If the other parent had B, then the offspring would have to have AB.

Except the mom bit doesn't make sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, @aaronq Is also correct because ABxA could result in A or AB. So, there are two answers I guess. He is right though, C is best because the "mom" thing does not make sense.

Looks possible to me.
