Hello-i'm having an issue with the mole. I understand that one mole of any substance will always contain 6.02 x 1023 atoms or molecules. However, i'm confused on simply how to do the math, how to convert between grams, etc. If someone out there could explain.. Thank you.

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

\[6.02\times10^{23}\] Molecules/mole

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

MW = grams/mole

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

6.02×10^23 Molecules/mole * MW = grams

OpenStudy (jfraser):

to convert between moles and grams, you need to know the formula of the thing you're trying to convert.
