OpenStudy (somy):

pay attention to last shell how may electrons does it have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8

OpenStudy (somy):

yep what do you expect to be the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Absolutely no idea.

OpenStudy (somy):

okay remember this if an atom is in full octet state with neutral charge IT CANNOT REACT- ITS INERT/UNREACTIVE an atom can react ONLY if it is not in full octet or is in full octet BUT IS CHARGED

OpenStudy (anonymous):

octet? im 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in 7th grade.

OpenStudy (somy):

hmm octet rule is having 8 electrons in outer shell

OpenStudy (somy):

but to react it needs to have less than 8 electrons in the outer shell or to have 8 electrons but be charged (positively or negatively) but here your atom has no charge so its neutral and has 8 electrons thus its unreactive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (somy):

okay look if its unreactive that means it cannot for any bonds whatsoever

OpenStudy (somy):

form*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im stupid.... its C.

OpenStudy (somy):

bingo & no you are not stupid) just need to study more and make good use of google :)
