How can you tell whether molecular compounds are able to be aqueous solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will have an (aq) by the bottom of the compound for example NaCl(aq)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but what if they dont give it to you? how would you know then? @TheGoat

OpenStudy (aaronq):

if they're able to ionize in water.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it is an acid base reaction then it would be in an aqause solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you want to know whether the products are soluble you will have to look at a solubility chart and if they are soluble then they are in an aqueous solution otherwise it would be a solid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i know all acids (molecular compunds basically) are able to ionize, so their aqueous. but what about lets say SN or something like that how would you know it can be aqueous? its not an acid so it cant ionize and the solubility chart doesnt say anything for something like this. @aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

"SN" is what?
