The system is not closed if matter can enter or escape.

am i right?

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Well a fire can't burn if it doesn't have oxygen. I think a closed system is something where no matter can escape. If it's an opened fire place, matter, like ashes and soot and stuff can escape.

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

I'm not really that good at physics so I'm not exactly sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

But I think you're right though.

Thanks ^_^

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

yep, no problem. Glad to help. :)
