I just wanna see if I got the correct answer so here's the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The concentration if magnesium ions (assume magnesium chloride) in sea water was analyzed and found to be 50.0 mmol/L. What volume of 0.200 mol/L sodium hydroxide solution would be needed in an industrial process to precipitate all of the magnesium ions from 1 00 ml of sea water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.0005 L

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.00ml not 100 ml

OpenStudy (aaronq):

show work?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, and its actually 1.00 Mega litres hehe and ok ill show my work @aaronq

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and my ansswer is gonna be differetn then the one above becuase of the litre change

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so since it says the concentration of the magnesium ions, it means that it dissociated from magnesium chloride |dw:1423526389321:dw|
