please someone help me, I'll give medal and fan, pleaseeee
iz!!
hello!!
lets go g first because it is easy
the largest cosine can be is 1 so the largest 2 times cosine can be is 2 so the largest 2 times cosine +4 can be is 6
so I only have to answer for f or g?
no i think misty meant do g first now we can do f
pretty much along the same lines of reasoning as \((x-3)^2\geq0\) so \(-4(x-3)^2\leq 0\) and therefor \[-4(x-3)^2+3\leq 3\]
could you explain it in words? im pretty slow when it comes to this lol
to recap, the maximum value of \(f\) is 3 the maximum value of \(g\) is 6
yeah sure
\((x-2)^2\) is a square and a square is never negative
that means it is always greater than or equal to zero
when you put a minus sign in front, that means it is always less than or equal to zero
when you add 3 out at the end, that means it is always less that or equal to 3
wait... im so confused. so for f(x) we can say that because the negative and the minus sign, it changes its value to greater? @satellite73
