\[1 \over 2^-3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3 is an exponent

OpenStudy (adamaero):

When going in between the numerator and denominator the sign switches For example x^2 = 1/[1^(-2)]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its already in a fraction form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would flip into 2^-3?
