OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

That is correct ^_^

OpenStudy (academicgurusinc):

You're absolutely right. Bravo!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about (x - 7) (x + 7)?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

What is your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2 - 49..?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Yes!

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

correct

OpenStudy (academicgurusinc):

When you multiply that out. You'll get x^2-49. You have to cancel out the common terms!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for (4x - 2) (4x + 3) would it be 16x^2 + 4x - 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got kinda confused on that one..

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Correct again ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really? wow thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i still ask for help on some to make sure theyre correct?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

ah ok ^_^ I'm sure you will do fine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aww thanks! well would (7x + 1) (7x - 1) be 49x^2 - 1? like the other one that i had earlier, but flipped around right?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you, and sorry if this is like...a waste of time or something, im just afraid ill get them wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

FOIL, x*x? y*x? x*y? y*y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know what y times x would be..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Just yx, or xy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

See, you know this stuff :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i only have 6 more to go

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, could you open a new post?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Almost, only the last term is incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait i meant 2y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that be right?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
