Which statement about cellular respiration is true? It produces oxygen. It requires water. It is used by every living cell. It converts energy to food.
Cellular respiration is the set of metabolic reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and then release waste products.
Pretty much the last one is correct. It converts energy to food. Cellular respiration is the process by which the chemical energy of "food" molecules is released and partially captured in the form of ATP. Carbohydrates, fats, and proteins can all be used as fuels in cellular respiration, but glucose is most commonly used as an example to examine the reactions and pathways involved.
i put that and my teacher marked it wrong so i was sketchy about leaving my answer the same but thanks so much
@ksuk3322 Cite all the info you just copy and pasted from this cite next time. http://www.saylor.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Wiki-Cellular-respiration.pdf
too bad
Who's really plagiarizing...
pretty much the last one is absolutely wrong =_=
cellular respiration does not produce oxygen but USES IT so first is wrong also
one of the products of cellular respiration is water so NO it does not USE but PRODUCE water so second one is also wrong
All living cells need energy to survive so all living cells do cellular respiration 3rd option is correct
