Use pythagreas theorom... a^2 + b^2 = c^2 where a will be your short side (x) and b your long side (x+3) and c your hypotonuse (2x-3) so you have : x^2 + (x+3)^2 = (2x-3)^2 -> x^2+x^2+6x+9 = 4x^2-12x+9 -> 2x^2+6x+9 = 4x^2-12x+9 -> 2x^2 - 18x = 0 -> 2x^2 = 18x <- solve for x
