A headline in a certain newspaper states that "most stay at first job less than 2 years." That headline is based on an online poll of 320 college graduates. Among those polled, 72% stayed at their first full-time job less than 2 years. A. Assuming that 50% is the true the percentage of graduates who stay at their first job less than two years, find the mean and standard deviation of the numbers of such graduates in randomly selected groups of 320 graduates
@nishant_garg, if you can help me out on the question I just posted an hour ago, I had posted it earlier and can't even think, I have been at this for 24 hours straight. Thanks for any help you can give me. Slomomo
You should start off by calculating 72% of 320, this will give you the number of graduates that remained on job and the remaining number out of 320 would be how many left their jobs
@Nishant_Garg so will that give me the mean or would that give me the number to get the 50% of and that would be the mean??
Hmm.. I'm not sure on this one, maybe ask some one else
Do you have answers?
well I got 72 * 320 = 230, 50 * 320 = 160. So do I subtract these or add them I think ill skip it, thanks though, slomo
