heres tha question
Choose the point-slope form of the equation below that passes through the points (-6,4) and (2,0)
OpenStudy (agl202):
Do u have any answer choices?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes but they are confusing to type but i can try
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok so here they are
A. y-4=-1/2(x+6)
B.y-4=2(x+6)
C.y+6=-1/2(x-4)
D.y+6=2(x-4)

Point slope form means when you plug in the X point you get the Y point
test the equations until one works!
4-4=-1/2(-6+6)
0=-1/2(0)
0=0
The first equation works for the first point, try the second in it now
0-4=-1/2(2+6)
-4=-1/2(8)
-4=-4
So the answer is A.
Hope this helps!!! =)

ooohhh that does! thanks :)
