What's throwing me off though, is that there are three instead of two now. Wait, does that change anything? Don't they all have to be equal anyway?

The limit exists if the double sided limit exists, it doesn't matter if it is different at the vertex, if that makes sense

If the left sided limit = the right sided limit, the limit exists. That's a better definition
