"The owl said, "Go through the dark woods, under the apple trees, into the swamp, over the crick-" "What's a crick?" A little river. A quick google search tells me crick is apparently a painful stiff feeling in the neck.So what's going on??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Was it a type and supposed to be creek?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

typo*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know, I wrote word to word what was written in my textbook.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The word has been used about 3 times, all with the same spelling

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you're correct about crick being a stiff pain in the neck, so I have no idea why they would put that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there no other meaning to crick?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me check real quick

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It can be a verb which means to give..no idea why, or it can mean CREEK!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I searched a little found this on yahoo answers, it is sometimes used instead of creek, like a different spelling but pronounced as creek

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, i found it under wiki and dictionary.com, so it's just a substitute for creek.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, thanks then!
