Label the net for the figure below with its dimensions. ??

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Pretty sure the largest ones are the top and the bottom. Where are you struggling? You fold up the net to make the box. Which net parts correspond to which box parts? Go!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand. I suck At geometry. I see the shapes and everything goes to crap. I have no idea what any of what you just typed means. @tkhunny

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tkhunny oh and what do you mean by net? I know how ridiculously stupid I must sound, please don't make fun of me, I need help

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

I do not believe that. Look at the box. It has 6 sides. Which of the 6 are the greatest in area? You should see that it is the top and the bottom. They are the same large size. Now, go find this same large size in the net.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

The net is the expanded version of the box. If you cut the right edges of the box, it will lie flat. That is the net. You can cut it in several ways. One such way is shown.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tkhunny the greatest area is C, I think? Is that right? Am I moving in the right direction?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

No. The sections with greatest area are the section above C and the section below A. Same size.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TKhunny can you please explain better? like i have the knowledge of a 5 year old

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

1) Stop talking about yourself like that. There is no expectation that you will succeed. 2) No, not really. You have to see it. You are flattening out the faces of a rectangular prism. Not a perfect example, but it you had a brick of cheese, and took one perfect, very thin slice from each side, what would the six slices represent?
