Gonna sound cliche, but if you do your work, and actually sit down and study, you'd be surprised with how much you can accomplish. It's difficult keeping up with so many classes, so keep a planner with you and write down your assignments. Don't wait until last minute, because if you have a problem with something, you won't have time to ask about it, and you'll probably get it wrong. So if you get two or three days to work on something, start on it when it's assigned that way you can ask for help. Don't let a few assignment by because they aren't worth a lot of points, those will add up and you'll get into the habit of brushing them aside. If you do poorly on a test, ask to stay after class or after school to look at it. Most teachers usually stay in their room for a few hours after school so they may be able to go over it with you. If you do poorly on homework, take it home and redo the problem you missed so you know what you did wrong. If you get a textbook, chances are there are tons of questions/reading to do that can help. Plus they usually have a chapter review with answers in the back of the book, and trust me, practice tests help. Teachers are more willing to give extra credit if they see you trying on the work they give you. You can show you're trying by asking questions, doing your best, and trying to fix your mistakes. If you come in at the end of the semester with five missing assignments and a C asking for ways to raise your grade, they won't be too keen to help. If you're really struggling, you could probably ask them to gather a packet of practice problems for you (even if it has no credit, it will help!) and go over some with you. You'd be surprised as to how many teachers do this. My Algebra 2 teacher gave out practice tests for every single chapter, and I was a fool for not taking advantage! Really just try your best. Don't be a suck up, because most people can see through that. Don't go to your teacher at the end of the semester, go to them as soon as you need help. Check your work, review your answers, take it slower. That's about all I got on it. It can be difficult to keep track of everything you need to do, but it's better to just get it over with than stressing out over a paper due in 12 hours. Good luck!
