I do believe that the answer is A.

The reason why is because if he steals then you wouldn't think of him as a good person, so then C. would not be correct. When someone is stealing you probably don't think of them as generous. So B is not correct. I don't think that there is anywhere that says that he was justified in his actions, so D is not correct. That leaves us with only one answer choice, answer choice A.
