How do i find the x,y, and z intercepts !!??!??!!?!?!??!
someone please help me
x-intercept you let y,z=0 y-intercept you let x,z=0 z-intercept you let z,y=0
okay so sub everything for 0 right , i did that and it says ts wrong ??!!
can i see the question
and your answer
question is 2x-6y-3z=12 and my answer is (6,-2,-4)
x-intercept will be in form (a,0,0) y-intercept will be in the form (0,b,0) z-intercept will be in the form (0,0,c) where a,b,c are some number
so for example to find the x-intercept (a,0,0) means replace y and z with 0 so we have 2x-6(0)-3(0)=12 2x=12 x=6 so the x-intercept is (6,0,0)
okay so i got that, and do i plug 6 into x and like y as 0 and z as z orrrrrrrrrr ?
?
(6,0,0) is the x-intercept this means when y=0 and z=0,x=6
i dont get it ))):
may ask what part
how to find the y and z intercepts
so you didn't understand the example for x-intercept then?
this is the actual question thy gave me Find the x-, y-, and z-intercepts for the following equation. (Enter your answers separated by commas, like this example: -2, 3, 4). 2x – 6y – 3z = 12
i did but i keep getting the same answer , but its wrong
so for example the x-interecpt do they want you to enter the number or the ordered pair?
like you can say the x-intercept is 6 but I prefer the (6,0,0)
i have to find all intercepts and then put them together
so you entered in this exactly: 6,-2,-4
yes i did , with the parenthesis
I don't think you should be parenthesis around it that isn't a 3tuple or whatever it is called those are individual intercepts
LOL im not supposed to put paranethesis HAAA, Thank you so much for helping me
lol congrats
