Kendra owns a restaurant. she charges $3.00 for 2 eggs and one piece of toast, and $1.80 for one egg and one toast. how much does kendra charge for an egg? A piece of toast

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@JohnKnows

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the only difference between 2 eggs and a piece of toast, and one egg and a piece of toast, is the egg so the egg must cost \(3.00-1.80\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand @satellite73

OpenStudy (thatgingeronfire):

For the egg they're saying that if you do $3.00- $1.80 you get the price of one egg. So one egg is $1.20.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but its a two step question write?

OpenStudy (thatgingeronfire):

Yes. So he only answered the first part. You use the information you found to answer the second part. If 1 egg and 1 toast is $1.80 and 1 egg is $1.20 then you do $1.80-$1.20 to get the price of toast. So what's $1.80-$1.20?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok!! $1.80- $2.20=.6 so the toast was .60cents
