Simplify. (4y^2-3y+1)+(−5y^2+7y+2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amorfide can you help me please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyhead314

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

you can get rid of the parenthesis in this case :) just 4y^2 - 3y + 1 - 5y^2 + 7y + 2 add like terms do you know how to do that? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 9y^2-4y+3?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

almost ^_^ 4 - 5 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so -1y^2-4y+3?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

and - 3 + 7 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rearranging like terms might help it be easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1y^2+4y+3?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

there you go :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example 4y^2 - 5y^2 - 3y + 7y + 1 + 2 is a lot easier to look at (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help with more? :) please

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
