OpenStudy (welshfella):

area = pi*r^2 where pi = 3.14 and r = 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@welshfella , does r^2 mean divide or times

OpenStudy (jackofalltradez):

r^2 means r times r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, times it twice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it thx

OpenStudy (jackofalltradez):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jackofalltradez):

Your first answer was pretty close

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, what did i miss??

OpenStudy (jackofalltradez):

You rounded up to high, I think. I got 379.94 in^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

323.94?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the little two means the number squared/ for example 3(with the little 2) is 9 because 3x3=9. if it was a little 3 it would be 3x3x3

OpenStudy (anonymous):
