name an environmental problem?... that is not any type of pollution in any way, acid rain, loss of ground water and topsoil, depletion of ozone, lost of habitat or invasive species.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and it can't be global warming

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm. You may have a problem. The listed examples are interconnected with many other issues. It the question more about environmental problems without a human factor?

Here's an idea you might be able to use. It has to do with farming but you might be able to stretch it to the environment. Basically, many farms nowadays grow genetically identical (or nearly identical) crops. This has happened as generations of farmers have artificially selected crops to have the biggest yields. However, if every plant is genetically identical, then you've increased crop yield at the expense of genetic diversity. This means that if anything were to significantly change (e.g. weather, insect pests, local herbivores, soil acidity, precipitation, humidity...etc, etc, etc), it would be difficult for these crops to adapt to the challenge and it may lead to widespread crop failures. This may not be the best example...but if I think of something else I'l let you know.
