Do you know anyone who drinks and drives? If so, you need to help them stop. If you're not they could be one of those thousands that die each year! Would you want that? Healthy man and women over age 6 should not drink more than a total of seven drinks a week. If you drink more than these amounts puts people at risk of serious alcohol problems. However, people can still have problems within these limits. Older adults may need to drink less than these limits or not at all. Many people think that a little drinking can be good for you. Studies have shown that little to moderate drinkers, men who have one or two drinks per day and women who have half to one drink a day, are less likely to develop or die of heart disease than people who drink more or not at all. Here re some tips that can help you drink more responsible and reasonable. Drink water or soft drinks between alcoholic drinks to dilute the alcohol. Slow down and take small sips not big gulps. You can also eat something before or during drinking. The reason why is because food makes the body absorbs alcohol more slowly. Have you ever wondered, how teens get alcohol so easy? Teens have easy access to alcohol at parties and can get it from older friends or from their parents liquor cabinets. Servery of teens 13 to 18 found that minors can easily obtain alcohol, often from family and friends. Two out of three teens say it is easy to get alcohol from their homes without their parents knowing about it. Two out of five teens say it is easy to get alcohol from a friend's parents. One in four teens has attended a party where minors were drinking in front of parents.Drinking is more harmful to teens than adults because their brains are still developing throughout adolescence and well into young adulthood. Drinking during this critical growth period can lead to lifelong damage in brain function, particularly as it relates to memory, motor skills and coordination. Also, parents'' approval to underage drinking sends the wrong message to teens, that alcohol use is okay. It's not okay! Any use of alcohol by any teens is dangerous. People who start drinking as teenagers are most likely to become alcoholics. They may have problems later because alcohol affects how the brain and body grows. Even after knowing the damage it could do to you or someone else, why do people still drink and drive? Also, give alcohol to underage kids? People shouldn't drink and drive! It's the reason why thousands of people die or get injured in racks every where. I also think that any place that sells alcohol should take the keys of a person who will be drinking.
