OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Well, A. Daniel and Andrew does that dance well. Both of them dance, so is "does" appropriate here? B. The trains or the bus run until midnight. One of them runs (not multiple objects), so is run with or without an 's' at the end? C. The mother dog or her puppies has chewed your boot. One of them chewed (not multiple objects), so is your verb has or have? (a little confusion, because 'puppies' are "many") D. Mars or Venus is visible in the sky tonight. One of them is invisible, not both, so is it "is" or "are" ?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

D is correct, C is debatable A and B are clearly wrong.
