Check my work please. Evaluate the function \[f (x) =4 x 7^x\] for x= -1 and x =2 show your work \[f(x)= x^2 +1\] \[f (-1)=(-1)^2 +1=2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where's the work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just a minute cx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just did what the book told me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its an e book.and my tablet doesn't have screenshot

@Nnesha

Nnesha (nnesha):

i guess your question is EVALUATE THE function when x =-1 and x =2 and question have two part a and b a ----> f(x) =4x7^x b------> f(x) = x^2 + 1 for both function you have to use x =-1 and x =2 right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its written the way I wrote it so I have no idea

Nnesha (nnesha):

if yes then when you substitute x =-1 into 2nd function then yes your answer is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hope thats right.. thanks c:

Nnesha (nnesha):

wait but u have to replace x by 2

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1426195113830:dw|both

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O.o

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep so now substitute 2 into x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

man im lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i used my brothers algebra calculator and it said that its just my originial answer

Nnesha (nnesha):

your answer which is 2 is right

Nnesha (nnesha):

but question is evaluate for x= -1 and x =2 show your work when you replaced x by -1 you got 2 which is right now substitute 2

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1426195530461:dw| 2nd part substitute 2
