try plotting these points - doesn't look like a square to me Please check your question.
Here is a plot. To find the area, I would use the distance formula to find the length of one side, and then use A= x*x , where x is the length of a side.
oh yes - my mistake in plotting!!
Another way to find the area is notice you can form the triangle ABC the area of a triangle is 1/2 base* height let the base be the side AC and the height be the distance from point B straight "down" to the base. because the other triangle AB'C is exactly the same size, double the area of one of the triangles to get the total area of the square.
A third way to find the area is count up the number of "boxes" that make up the square ABCB'
