f(5)+g(1)/f(6)-g(-2) would i add or subtract before i divide @Nnesha

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes where are the functions ??

Nnesha (nnesha):

f(5) mean you have to substitute 5 into x for f(x) function :)

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

the same rules as for constants apply, since f(5) is really some number, you just dont know which one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 6 divided 4 right

Nnesha (nnesha):

don't have equation for f(x) ??

Nnesha (nnesha):

i guess there suppose to be 2 equation f(x) and g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the (x)=(5) its just plugged in so instead of it being f(x) and g(x) its f(5) and g(-2)

Nnesha (nnesha):

f(5) mean x = 5 not f(5) = ? i meant there should be function f(x) = x^2 + 1 for example so you can replace x by 5 to find f(5) =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o well the problem is written like this

Nnesha (nnesha):

doesn't make sense hmmm :/ should tag some users

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@andrewhaze can you help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pooja195 can you help

Nnesha (nnesha):

@jim_thompson5910

@e.mccormick

Nnesha (nnesha):

@SithsAndGiggles don't you think there suppose to be equation f(x) and g(x)
