What 1896 U.S. Supreme Court decision upheld the constitutionality of social segregation and advanced the "separate but equal" doctrine? Plessy v. Ferguson Marbury v. Madison Brown v. Board of Education Abrams v. United States

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

The Plessy v. Ferguson case advanced the "separate but equal". This was a case that said that railroads were segregating African Americans and Whites by having them sitting in different trains. And the law that put that in place (Louisiana’s Separate Car Act 1890) was being challenged. The Supreme Court ruled that as long as they were getting to the same destination, etc that there was no need for them all to be in one train.
