math help ..
@iGreen @inowalst @IrishBoy123
Okay, so the graph is pointing up or down?
Which way is the line pointing, is it going like this / or like this \
\
Okay, so now find you two points. Which two points are marked?
I'm really confused @iGreen can u help
Okay, so find the two points. (0, 3) and (1,1)
Yeah, take the two points on the line and plug them into the slope formula. \(m = \dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\) \(m = \dfrac{1-3}{1-0}\) Simplify
2 / 1
Then, you can go down two and to the right one. You get -2/1. It is - BECAUSE the line is facing \ this way.
Well..slope is also \(\sf \dfrac{Rise}{Run}\) And it tells you the rise and the run..so you can just divide.
1 is correct, but 2 is not..check again @danceing4yourlifeTGIF
-2?
Remember, when you take something small from something large, you get a negative. YOur answer is correct, but it needs to be negative. The answer is as you put above.
The slope is -1.
A? is it A??
*sorry, -2
@DIDITHEDAD
is the correct answer A?
@iGreen
Yes, it is.
That gives us: -2 / 1 And when we divide we get -2.
