I'd be interested to know! I was never taught this in school or college in the UK.
OpenStudy (openstudyrocks5*):
0_0 Wow.
OpenStudy (welshfella):
I would guess a segment but that might be completely wrong...

OpenStudy (welshfella):
I have no ides what 6th grade is - what would the age be?
OpenStudy (welshfella):
lol - we would just call that a line - never heard of segment or ray in that level of maths.

i'm an old guy - a lot has changed since I did math, I dare say.
OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):
hint: lines go on forever and has arrows at both ends
rays go on forever in only ONE direction and has an arrow at one end and a segment is finite, with points at the ends
OpenStudy (welshfella):
ok thank you
OpenStudy (openstudyrocks5*):
So A. Which is what I was actually thinking?
OpenStudy (welshfella):
so the side of a triangle would be a segment?

@BloomLocke367 ^^
OpenStudy (welshfella):
No wouldn't CD be a segment - it is finite and has points at each end
OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):
yes @OpenStudyRocks5* there's arrows at the END.. the points are there so you know what to call the line.. yes, the side of a triangle would be a segment.
