MEDAL AND FAN How many triangles can be constructed with angles measuring 35º, 62º, and 83º? A. 0 B. 1 C. 2 D. an infinite number

OpenStudy (winsteria):

D? @Mehek14 @dtan5457 @acxbox22

Mehek (mehek14):

add them up

Mehek (mehek14):

if they're >180 or 180< , they can't be triangles

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

All triangles have angles that add to 180. If you have three angles how many other ways can you create a triangle with 180 degrees with these three?

OpenStudy (winsteria):

I don't know

OpenStudy (winsteria):

Is it D though? @ybarrap

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

35+62+83=180 This is one triangle. Can you make another with these three angles?

OpenStudy (winsteria):

So 1? @ybarrap

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

3 angles adding up to 180 means one solution, one triangle.

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

If you had 35+63+\(x\)=180 You would still have only one triangle possible, because the only thing \(x\) can be is 83 to produce as a sum of 180.

OpenStudy (winsteria):

Thank you

You're welcome
