Someone please help! At Elsa's auto shop, it takes her 9 minutes to do an oil change and 12 minutes to do a tire change. Let x be the number of oil changes she does. Let y be the number of tire changes she does. Using the values and variables given, write an inequality describing how many oil changes and tire changes Elsa can do in at most an hour (60minutes)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, one piece at a time. Seriously, do NOT try to solve the problem. Answer ONE question at a time. How much time is spent on oil changes? 9*x How much time is spent on oil changes? You tell me. What is the total time spent? What number of minutes musn't the total time exceed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be 9x+12y< or = to60?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think thats how i solve it but it seems too simple

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is simple

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

It's just asking for the inequality. Build it and you're done. You're done!
