We are doing are areas of integration and I need help Integrating form the Y axis. I believe I use the Cylinder Method for this, correct me if I'm wrong. I need the find: x=(y-3)^2 and x=4 (so we integrate from 1 to 5 on the y axis) around y=1. How do I go about this?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a drwaing tends to simplify matters

OpenStudy (amistre64):

everything to the left of y=1 seems to be swallowed up by the right side of it if we were to spin it about y=1 ... so from 1 to 5 seems fair

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we can move it all to the left if we want to and spin it around the vertical axis ... if we want to but thats not required i spose
