Describe how l'hopital's rule works

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

do you want a proof outline? thomas and finney gives a pretty good one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is applied in case finding limits of fractions under a condition that the limit is "indeterminate" Only in both cases u apply L'hopitals rule= derivative up / derivative down Independently Then u check your limit if it stays indeterminate... U keep applying L'hopital till your limit answer is accepted. I.e any constant or infinity I hope this is helpful :)

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

that is a proof of the weaker form. here is a proof of the stronger form http://prntscr.com/6ko5u0 http://prntscr.com/6ko60n http://prntscr.com/6ko639 http://prntscr.com/6ko65t Have fun! Let me know if you ahve any questions.

and here is a good ol' wiki proof http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%27H%C3%B4pital%27s_rule#Proof_of_L.27H.C3.B4pital.27s_rule
