Which is a solution to the equation 4x + y = –6?
You can find the ordered pair solution to the equation by plugging in 0 for x and then solving. THat will give you the y coordinate. Then you'll plug in 0 for y and get the x coordinate. So, \[4(0)+y=-6\]
I don't understand
Hopefully this link will explain it more. Let me know if it helps or not. http://www.purplemath.com/modules/systlin5.htm
https://www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-eighth-grade-math/cc-8th-linear-equations-functions/8th-x-and-y-intercepts/v/x-and-y-intercepts I use that site a lot when I don't understand something. That video should explain better, too.
Here would be the part two to that video. https://www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-eighth-grade-math/cc-8th-linear-equations-functions/8th-x-and-y-intercepts/v/x-and-y-intercepts-2 Let me know if these help or not :)
