The slope is easily seen to be 1/2 and one point on it is (-3,-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first option has it correctly in point slope form, convert it to standard form and you get the answer

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

the standard form of a line cannot have a negative x.

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

So if you get a -x, you have to multiply the equation by -1

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Standard form Ax + By = C where a>0
