any thoughts about it?
I don't understand at all.
is it the terms they used, or youve just never seen any of this before?
I have never seen this before.
standard error is the standard deviation of the distribution of sample means. if youve never seenthis before, then there is way too much to try to cover to help you study this.
binomial distribution mean anything to you? youhave to have covered some of this in your coursework.
Yes it sound familiar.
then ill make some broad assumption that what im about to tell you makes sense :)
in a binomial distribution, we have 3 variables that we tend to play with. n,p,q q is just 1-p, since p+q=1 is the probability of p or q the standard error can be thought of as just a modification of the standard deviation of the sample the standard deviation of a binomial distribution is formulated as: sqrt(npq) modify it by dividing by n and we have the standard error
so, which one of these would you say is equal to:\[SE=\frac{\sqrt{npq}}{n}\]
d?
d is a trick option, notice it has a z in it, and i have mentioned nothing about z other than that its spot on
z times the standard error is known as the margin or error
So it would have to be answer b.
***margin OF error
yes, i would go with B on this one
Thank you for the help.
youre welcome, and good luck :)
