\[10\frac{1}{9} +5\frac{14}{15}\]You want to make this an improper fraction first. \[\frac{(10\cdot 9)+1}{9} +\frac{(5 \cdot 15)+14}{15}\]Now find a common denominator.

for example, let's take \(\Huge\frac{1}{9}\) 1/9 is not a very big question, and is closer to 0 on a number line than 1. @Jhannybean do they really need to do this work? This is an estimation problem, we're not looking for exact values
