OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

"Blood pressure is higher than osmotic pressure at the arterial end of a capillary, so water exits a capillary at the arterial end. " Human Biology, page 105 Is this an error cuz I believe water should enter, not exit the capillary. Or is there something wrong w/ my reasoning?

@amistre64 , any idea?

@caozeyuan The question is asking about a specific part of the capillary bed system. So, on the arterial end new water is driven into the cells and on the venule end the reverse happens and water with waste products and carbon dioxide is forced into the capillary beds.
