Help with application of law of sines and cosines
A 50-ft wire running from the top of a tent pole to the ground makes an angle of 58° with the ground. If the length of the tent pole is 44 ft, how far is it from the bottom of the tent pole to the point where the wire is fastened to the ground? (The tent pole is not necessarily perpendicular to the ground). Round your answers to the nearest tenth of a foot.

Does the diagram fit the problem?
I love these. Hold on let me see this.
The diagram looks right to me.
Have you ever heard of SOH CAH TOA
"how far is it from the bottom of the tent pole to the point where the wire is fastened to the ground?" wouldn't that be the 50..?

See I was like confused with this but you are right

Because that is how tents are
Wait, wouldn't the hypotenuse be 66 degrees
? "(The tent pole is not necessarily perpendicular to the ground)"
doesn't mean it's 90 degrees
