1st you need to find the median of this set: do you know how to find it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes i ahve to place the numbers in order then find the middle number, which is 14

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

yes

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

now you need to find the median of the numbers left from the median of the set

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

so the set is 6 7 11 13 14 15 15 19 27 the median is 14 then the set left is 6 7 11 13.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

the median of this is (7+11)/2=9

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

now find median of numbers right from the median of the whole set: 15 15 19 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know what set is left?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

well here is the median 14. you see number left from 14. this is the left set

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

now median of right set is 17. we found nearly all values we need. also the minimum is 6, maximum is 21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i still dont get it, when would it be a right set?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

so now: |dw:1428181975352:dw|
