For the first question, 11^(n-5) = 11 and n-5 has to be equal to 1 for 11 to equal 11, so n is equal to 6

so basic log properties say that \[\log _{b}x = y \] is the same thing as \[x = b ^{y}\] and in this case, b= 11, x = 11, and y = (n-5) and if you change it into the exponent form from the log form, then you can solve for n
