plug in pi/16 for x and see if it equals 0
so I would plug it in like this 2cos^(4*pi/16) ? or instead of pi 3.14?
\[2\cos ^{2}(4(\pi/16))-1\]
3.14 will also work instead of pi

did you get an answer?
yeah, it came out as 0.2701511529340699
it should be 0
I used a scientific calculator
use the pi symbol instead of 3.14
