OpenStudy (anonymous):

What would be the final temperature if a pellet was initially at 95 degrees Celsius, were dropped into a 218g sample of water initially at 23.8 degress Celcius?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

it would be the same as the final temperature of the water, once they reach \(thermal \space equilibrium\)

OpenStudy (jfraser):

but without more information it's impossible to say

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Something seems to be missing here. I think you would need to know the weight/mass of the pellet, and what element it's made of, so you can obtain a specific heat.
