Hi! I need help with this question: A fixed quantity of an ideal monoatomic gas is kept at a pressure of p = 5 bar. Initially, the temperature is T1 = 300K and the volume occupied by the gas is V1 = 1 liter Derive an equation for the number of atoms in the gas.

OpenStudy (matt101):

Combine the following two equations and rearrange to solve for the number of atoms: PV=nRT n=n(atoms)/N(A) Where P is the pressure, V is the volume, n is the moles, R is the gas constant, T is the temperature, n(atoms) is the number of atoms, and N(A) is Avogadro's number. Just watch the units!
