Two equations are given below: a − 3b = 4 a = b − 2 What is the solution to the set of equations in the form (a, b)? (−2, −2) (−3, −1) (−9, −7) (−5, −3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it a?

Nnesha (nnesha):

how did you get that ?? :-)

Mehek (mehek14):

did you plug in the values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i kinda worked it out but im not sure..

Nnesha (nnesha):

you can substitute a order pair into the equation if you get both side equal for both equation then your answer is right

Mehek (mehek14):

-2 = -2 - 2 that doesn't make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true.. idk what it is D: im bad at equations

Mehek (mehek14):

try the second ordered pair

Nnesha (nnesha):

there are different ways to solve two equations graphing substitution or plug a and y values |dw:1429459811799:dw| you can replace a by b-2
