What time period was this for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

60's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because if this is from the 1920's then there was more supply in America than demand. In other words, factories were making more than they were selling. This also occurred in the agriculture in the united states. Because there was so much of these products the prices of the products went down to encourage people to buy the product. This in turn caused serious inflation within the country and was one of the contributing factors toward the Stock Market Crash of 1929. Of course, there were many other reasons. But remember, (or if you don't know this, you can impress someone with it) In the world of agriculture within the United States the Great Depression had really begun for them in 1925, four to five years before the Stock Market Crash.

Sorry, I just saw your post. :) You are just in luck. We really went in depth on the 60's in my college class this semester... just give me a minute to type

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. I was talking about a different time period because I didn't see your post :( sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There was inflation in the 1960's and 1970's especially because of the Cold War and the the Energy Crisis. B would be the best answer because people were trying to conserve and were more concered with the Civil Rights Movement, Women's Rights movement, the energy crisis, Vietnam, Communism, Free Love movement, and many other things to worry about contributing to the economu. PLUS!! The free love movement (AKA thehippie movement) in the 60's preached against just supporting the economy and taught that you should try to get an experience from your life and education. SO I would go with B! Let me know how things turn out :)

I'm sorry, I meant A. My mind flipped the two. I was looking at the wrong one. You were right. I apologize. :P THE ANSWER IS: more for everyday items despite presidents' efforts to slow inflation

thank you so much
