use the pythagorean theorem, a^2 +b^2 = c^2 put the side lengths in a and b and put x in the c spot

I'd say use SOH CAH TOA the pythagorean theorem would work IF it were a right-triangle but seems that it isn't, and nothing thus far is indicating it is

on the other hand, we don't even have an angle so.... how are you meant to find it anyway? or what section is this exercise covering?
